Hi lovely people, I decided it was time to crawl out from under my rock and put up a new post
. Dispite not posting I have still been creating, which is very impressive for me lol. We also have a new puppy and wow I had forgotten how much work the little darlings are!! Below is a pic of Ice.
Here are a few of my latest pieces.
Well I’m off to finish the last Sookie Stackhouse book by Charlaine Harris and then watch Veronica Mars reruns, have a lovely weekend
This is my daughters school project, she has to look after an egg for 4 days. Of course I decided it needed a little face.
The green eyed one is my practice egg, the blue eyed one is my daughters project “Eggie-mae”. Let’s just hope she makes it!!
Okay here we go hehe. My laptop is at the doctors and has been all week grrrr so I am using my phone to put up this post so I hope it works!! I am pretty dumb when it comes to technology so fingers crossed lol. I have managed to finish two paintings this week, well……… when I say finished I mean nearly as the sides haven’t been done yet. I’m so bad at doing that, drive myself nuts!! Especially when I have to do a heap at once………….but anyway here are the pics.
I was trying to paint in a more “free” style as I drive my self bonkers with perfect lines etc, but boy it was harder and took longer to try and get a more natural look….. phew. I think I like the results though
This is my next attempt. She just kind of appeared on the background. Hope everyones had a great week xx
A big thank you to Sherry ( please check out her amazing art) for challenging me to list some artwork by Monday……..Yay I did it!!! If not for you I would still be procrastinating!!
This first one is a mixed media piece on canvas measuring 25x76cm.
It’s called “bottom of the garden”
This next one I finally finished, it was originally meant for valentines day………oops
Its a mixed media piece on canvas 6×8″
I also completed these three little shabby mixed media heart paintings, measuring 5×7″. They are for sale in the most gorgeous shop called Tilly and Tiffen (please check out their beautiful facebook page) along with a selection of cards featuring images of my paintings
They are based in sunny Tauranga.
The pic’s aren’t very good but you get the idea
Oh I also wanted to say a big thankyou to my wonderful blog friends, this month is my one year anniversary!! Thanks for making it such a great year, now on to the next!! Talk to you soon xx
I hope the year has started positively for all you beautiful people out there
My youngest daughter is still having school holidays so I am not fully into the swing of things, but I think I am heading in the right direction
I have started the year by sorting through all my arty crafty goodies and moving them into our spare room which is now my painting room YAY!!
And of course I had to buy myself a few new crafty goodies!!
I have also been doing a few paintings, this my latest “yellow polkadot bikini”.
This one is a work in progress, hopefully I will have the finished piece to show you in a couple of days xx.
Well I think that might be asking too much, No snow for us here in New Zealand
Another hot roasty Christmas for us!
I’ve managed a couple of small Christmas projects over the last week or so, this first one was in a magazine a friend of mine showed me and I thought it was cute so I gave it ago. Unfortunately I’m a bit out of practice wielding my trusty pliers
It had to be wired together and my fingers are looking like I had a run in with a wild feline hehe.
I also painted this little Christmas tree Angel, sorry the pic’s not the best, it’s a little mixed media piece on a 5×7″ canvas.
Oh and this little 6×6″ block my Daughter asked me to paint for her to give her teacher
the last couple of years she’s had male teachers and I have to say it makes it so much harder to paint a little pressy for them lol. Don’t think they would want a little Christmas tree Angel
We could have gone for the usual choc’s but that would be too easy
xx
